Tesla Cybertruck Charging Power is Amazing: Measured Peaks Up to 405 Kilowatts

Recently, a group of Tesla enthusiasts from Cybertruck.cz conducted a charging test for their electric pickup, the Cybertruck, in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, and unexpectedly achieved a surprising result: the vehicle reached an astounding peak charging power of 405 kW.

 

This test was carried out at a newly developed ultra-fast charging station by Slovak EV charging operator Ejoin, which has a rated power capacity of up to 600 kW. As part of the station's launch event, the Cybertruck.cz team connected their electric pickup to the 600 kW charging station to test its capabilities.

 

To everyone's surprise, the Cybertruck hit a peak charging power of 405 kW, equivalent to charging 1,659 kilometers of range per hour. This result was unexpected, as Tesla had not previously advertised that the Cybertruck could achieve a peak power output exceeding 400 kW.

According to reports, the Cybertruck from Cybertruck.cz had only 7% battery remaining before being connected to the 600 kW charger by Ejoin. Even when the battery reached a high charge level of 99%, the Cybertruck was still able to draw 32 kW from the charging station.

 

The ultra-fast charging technology used by the Cybertruck allows users not only to quickly increase charge from 7% to 99% but also to maintain 32 kW of power even during the final stages of charging. This significantly reduces charging times and helps pave the way for broader adoption of electric vehicles. Coupled with advancements in current battery technology, such high-power charging performance greatly enhances the practicality of electric pickups, especially for long-distance travel or daily use. In the increasingly competitive electric vehicle market, this feature will undoubtedly become a major selling point for the Cybertruck.

While this charging speed is impressive, it's important to note that this is just a test result and doesn't necessarily represent the Cybertruck's actual range or charging efficiency. Although the accuracy and reliability of this data can't be confirmed, it still showcases Tesla's relentless pursuit of performance and technological innovation.

The test also revealed some additional noteworthy points. For example, during extended use of the ultra-fast charger, the Cybertruck's temperature rises, which could potentially affect its range and battery lifespan. Therefore, in real-world use, more attention will need to be paid to maintaining battery safety and health.

Market research indicates that charging speed is one of the key factors influencing consumers' decisions to purchase electric vehicles. As consumers' demands for faster charging increase, Tesla’s Cybertruck, with its extremely high charging power, is likely to win more favor. Compared to other electric pickups currently on the market, this advantage makes the Cybertruck more competitive and could push other automakers to accelerate their development of electric vehicle technology, driving industry progress.
