Tesla Model Y Juniper Red Paint Debuts, Suspected to Be Testing Model

Since the beginning of the year, many netizens have increasingly spotted refreshed Model Y "Juniper" prototypes on the road, though they were all camouflaged in black.

However, a current Tesla owner recently shared something new — for the first time, a test vehicle of the upgraded Model Y in Ultra Red paint has been captured.

More images of the Ultra Red Tesla upgraded Model Y "Juniper" or "Opal" were spotted in California.

The owner believes this is the Model Y Performance version because:

The rims resemble the 20" rims previously seen on the Model 3 Performance.
There's a vent on the side of the front bumper.
His own car is a Model Y Performance in the same color, and when comparing the two side by side, they had nearly identical height and ground clearance (the Performance trim sits lower than other trims).

Additionally, it seems the prototype features redesigned black side mirrors.

The vehicle also appears to have a rear spoiler visible under the camouflage, though the seats remain standard. Unlike the Model 3 Performance, which is equipped with racing-style bucket seats, this test vehicle seems to use standard seats, likely just for testing purposes.
